Kildare County Council are calling for expressions of interest in areas that wish to be considered for Kildare's first 'decarbonisation' zone!
As part of the All of Government Climate Action Plan, 2019 all Local Authorities are challenged to initially identify and develop one Decarbonising Zone each. A Decarbonising Zone (DZ) is defined as a spatial area in which a range of climate mitigation, adaptation and biodiversity measures and action owners are identified to address local low carbon energy, greenhouse gas emissions and climate needs to contribute to national climate action targets.
Kildare will be selecting only one - and expressions of interest are requested until 26th March until 5pm.
If you are interested in contributing to developing a proposal together for Celbridge please get in touch. Likewise, if you are from Leixlip, Maynooth, or any other area please let us know and we will aim to connect you in with others developing submissions for your area.
For all please email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
